The award-winning film RESET by director and 2016 Nicholls Finalist Arun K. Vir will screen at the 2017 Awareness Film Festival on Sunday, October 8th at 1:00 PM at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. RESET, a dramatic film about a mixed race American teen who descends into drug addiction while struggling with her difficult childhood, was nominated for Best Short Film by the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2016 and has screened at festivals around the world.
Vir was inspired to write RESET after having gone through the battle and struggle of supporting her daughter who was in recovery. She felt she had an opportunity to share this experience with others who might be struggling with the disease or with a loved one who is going through it.
The Awareness Film Festival runs October 5-15.
